GOOD QUESTIONS.
Property taxes have enough fine print.
Here are the straight answers.
You’re asking Nassau County’s Assessment Review Commission (ARC) to review your property’s assessed value. You challenge the assessment, rather than the tax rate.
ARC says it will either lower your assessment or leave it unchanged. Your tax bill can still change for other reasons, including tax rates.
The next published ARC filing window is January 4–March 1, 2027, for the 2028–29 assessment year. Check the county’s current dates before filing.
Our service has a flat $200 fee. We don’t take a percentage of your tax savings. A reduction isn’t guaranteed; the savings calculator shows an illustration with our fee deducted.
Yes. Filing directly with ARC is free, and you don’t need an attorney. If you use a representative, review their fees and agreement first. Avoid duplicate filings or authorizations.
Separate city or village assessments have their own appeal process and deadlines. Check with your local assessor; an ARC appeal does not cover those assessments.
No. The homeowner guide is free. It doesn’t book a paid service, file an appeal, or authorize representation. It helps you understand your options before you decide what to do next.
